Repair Steps Overview
In this setup area you may create a list of the various repair stepsin which an item might be when it is received for repair. The repair steps entered here will be available in a dropdown lists for the Step details column on repairs orders if the additional repair step columns are enabled (see Repair Order - Details Tab, and module opion “Enable Repair Step Columns on Repair Order Detail Lines” under Repair Order Module Options).
Select Setup 
Lists Repair Steps from the main menu to
open the repair steps setup area.
If the option has been enabled, you will first be prompted with the question: Do you want to extract newly entered repair steps from repair orders? (See module option “Prompt to extract newly entered Repair Steps” under Setup Module Options.) Click the Yes button to automatically create new records for repair steps that were manually entered in the Step details column on repair orders, and that do not already exist in the repair steps table (see Repair Order - Details Tab). Click the No button or press the Esc key to ignore the request.
The repair steps setup module may be renamed with a custom caption (see Custom Captions), and is available only in the Repair SQL, Repair, and Repair Mobile editions.
