Data Entry Overview

Various types of entry controls have been carefully selected for use throughout the program to simplify and minimize the time required for data entry and selection. The characteristics of each of the various controls are discussed in the following sections, as well as tips for speedy entry.

While the Tab key is the Windows standard for advancing to the next entry field, most entry screens within At Your Service also allow the Enter key to be used to advance to the next entry field. In the few remaining entry screens, the Enter key performs the standard windows function of clicking the highlighted button (i.e. the button with a darker border) in the current window.
