Working with the User Edit History

Activating/Deactivating User Edit History Logging

Click the red User View History Logging is Inactive status indicator at the top of the browse window, or select File  Activate User View History Logging from the main menu to start logging every time a user views a record.

Click the red User Edit History Logging is Inactive status indicator at the top of the browse window, or select File  Activate User Edit History Logging from the main menu to start logging every time a user edits a record.

Click the green User View History Logging is Active status indicator at the top of the browse window, or select File  Deactivate User View History Logging from the main menu to stop logging every time a user views a record.

Click the green User Edit History Logging is Active status indicator at the top of the browse window, or select File  Deactivate User Edit History Logging from the main menu to stop logging every time a user edits a record.

Clearing the User Edit History

Select File  Clear User Edit History from the main menu to delete all user edit history records.

Recording History in Multi-Line Text Fields

When entering multi-line text entry fields, users may press Shift+Ctrl+U to automatically enter the current date and time followed by the name of the logged in user before each textual addition (see Entering Date, Time and/or User). This provides a timeline of the notes added to each record.
