Standard Form Options

Various standard form options can be configured without physically customizing report files. See Form Options to configure individual form options for each form type. Additionally, see Custom Captions to rename the forms themselves, or to rename section subheadings or field captions on the forms.

Letterhead and Business Logos on Forms

By default, a standard textual business letterhead with your company name, address, and contact information prints at the top of each form.

You may instead, however, choose to print your business logo at the top of each form, or to print the forms on paper that has been preprinted with your business logo.

If you have your custom business logo in a .JPG electronic file format then it may automatically be formatted and printed as part of the letterhead at the top of the form. The advantage of having your custom business logo printed directly on the form instead of using preprinted letterhead is that the logo will be included when faxing or e-mailing the form (see Faxing a Form, and E-mailing a Form).

The location of the graphical logo file must first be configured under the business locations setup (see Business Location - Logo Tab). Then, for each individual form, configure the desired maximum height of the logo between 0.25 inches and 1.00 inches high (between 0.64 cm and 2.54 cm; see Form Options). If the height of the graphical logo file is smaller than the specified height then the logo will retain the original height of the logo in the file. The width of the logo will automatically be scaled proportionately to the printed height.

If the width of the logo is less than or equal to 1.00 inch (2.54 cm) then the layout of the textual letterhead will be retained as is and compressed towards the right.

If the width of the logo is greater than 1.00 inch (2.54 cm) then the textual business name will be suppressed and only the contact information will print immediately below the logo.

If you choose to use paper that has been preprinted with your business logo, then select not to print the standard letterhead at the top of each form (see Form Options). The printed logo should not extend lower than 1.75 inches (4.45 cm) from the top of the page or further than 6.00 inches (15.24 cm) from the left side of the page.
